Community Grant & Viking Promise Programs Eligibility Appeal

Appeal Description: The West Valley Community Grant/Viking Promise Programs Eligibility Appeal is available for students who did not meet eligibility requirements or have a special circumstance beyond their control.

Below is a list of examples of circumstances we may consider:

You experienced a leave of absence due to illness or other circumstances.
You are enrolled in your last semester and require less than 12 units to graduate.

Procedures for Appeal:

Submit your Appeal along with any supporting documentation to the WVC Financial Aid Office via this online form.
Appeals must include an explanation of the contributing factors, documentation of those circumstances, and must outline corrective or preventative measures to ensure requirement completion in the future.
All Appeals will be reviewed by the WVC Community Grant/Viking Promise Appeals Committee. The student will be notified of the decision by email. The decision of the Committee is final.
No in-person appeals will be considered.
Appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
